A Wildlife Journey, ”“ Paradox Error, ”and Immediately’s Different New Releases and Gross sales – MCM Gaming

Hello dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for June 9, 2021. It’s the Wednesday before E3 and for Nintendo Switch news that could make it one of the quietest days of the year. A few new releases to look at, the usual Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stuff, and a rather small sales list. Well, hey, the articles have been pretty big lately. I like to have a quieter day. Let’s see what’s here!

news

It’s a flame war in the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate event

Again at this time of the week, my best friends. It’s Wednesday and that means we get the announcement of the next weekend event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I expect next week’s event to have something to do with E3, but for now it’s going as usual. This tournament starts on Friday and runs through the weekend for three days. This tournament consists of fighters who use fire in their attacks. Bowser Koopa, Mario, Captain Falcon, Roy and maybe a few more. Only these characters can be used in the tournament. Flame on!

New publications

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure ($ 19.99)

Another Apple arcade game makes its way over the Switch, this time ustwo’s Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. Explore and hopefully save a Mediterranean island on your summer vacation in this relaxing adventure. Alba needs to gather volunteers to clean up the island and help the local wildlife. Basically, you just go around helping people with what they need. It’s a pretty nice game, and this Switch version offers another way of owning it beyond a subscription. However, if you think you’ll only play it once or twice, the Apple Arcade subscription is certainly better value for money. I leave the decision up to you.

Paradoxical Error ($ 4.99)

What do you call it when you go to a doctor who misdiagnoses you, then gets a second opinion and you get misdiagnosed the same way? A paradoxical mistake. Ha! * beats desk *

Hm. Anyway, this is an extremely buggy side scrolling platformer. But wait, don’t run away yet. It should be glittering! You sometimes have to take advantage of the glitches to continue. It definitely seems clever, and if it makes good use of its gimmick all the way, I think this will make for a good $ 5 buy. I’ve tried it little so far, so I can’t say how well it holds up as the game progresses. However, what I’ve tried is interesting.

Pocket Warrior ($ 12.00)

I’m afraid there isn’t much hope of digging up information with such a generic title. Let’s see what i can do. This seems like a pretty crude 3D action adventure game with animal characters. It has a story mode, a survival mode and a local multiplayer PvP mode for up to four players. This is the developer’s first version of Switch as far as I can tell. The official website calls this a remake of an existing game, but I don’t think it’s one of the Pocket Warriors games I’m familiar with. I need to research further in this case. I’ll get in touch if it turns out to be something cool.

sales

(North American eShop, US prices)

A short list, but rather devoid of the usual suspects. I’d say the pick of the day is Project Highrise, but the list is short enough that you can safely go through it for yourself to see what you like. The schedule is not that short. Dragon Quest sales are coming to an end, Ninja Gaiden’s pre-launch discount is coming to an end, and a number of interesting indies like A Robot Named Fight are returning to their regular prices. Take care, friends.
