Video: Remembering the 3D Classics NES franchise on Nintendo 3DS

Do you remember when Nintendo got Arika to bring a number of NES games to the 3DS? These games were part of the short series known as 3D Classics, which included six games such as Kirby’s adventure and Child Icarusand even had a stereoscopic 3D enhancement.

The series started with 3D Classics: Excitebike and done with 3D classic: Kid Icarus – so it was relatively short-lived, but these versions are arguably still the best way to experience those NES titles.

Arika went so far as to faithfully restore every game in its entirety and then add additional enhancements such as widescreen, weather effects (in the case of Excitebike), new backgrounds, and more to some of those games. Get the full look at Jon’s video above and let us know in the comments how many of these 3D classics you played that day.
