Last December, Epic Games began adding iconic video game mascots to their free multiplayer mode for Battle Royale Fourteen days.
First there was PlayStation God of War Kratos, and it was followed by the arrival of the Master Chief of the gloriole Series. At the time, Switch gamers were wondering if a Nintendo representative might show up, and this sparked speculation about the bounty hunter Samus Aran of the Metroid Series would join the party.
While it didn’t end up doing that, the discovery now appears to have been made as part of a quarterly annual report from Epic Games 2020 (largely focused on Fortnite) that has now become publicly available as part of the ongoing trial of Epic against Apple.
Following pictures of Kratos and Master Chief seems like fan art by Samus from the Metroid series. This is followed by a shot of the anime character Naruto and even of film characters like John McClane from Diehard and Snake Plissken from Escape from New York.
Allegedly there would be another collaboration within Fortnite Samus Aran X Fortnite that will either be released or not. pic.twitter.com/BADhEIurrb– FortniteBR – Fortnite Leaks (following) (@FortniteFN_BR) May 3, 2021
As can be seen in this document, there are many characters that have been released in the game that have not yet been released. Therefore, it is currently unclear whether or not these unannounced characters will also join the universe of Fortnite.
They could also possibly be character skins that should be added to the game but never got the green light from the owners of their respective IP, or maybe they are still on their way? If we hear anything else, we’ll let you know. Would you be ready for Samus in Fortnite? Leave a comment below.
