The Australian NBN providers are currently in a kind of price war. A handful offer discounts on the fastest speed plans. It is believed to be intended to speed adoption of NBN 250 and 1000 plans, which are still relatively new. In addition to the previous discounts on the NBN 250 plan, Superloop has another tempting offer: 250 Mbps speed for people who sign up for NBN 100.
If you sign up for the provider’s NBN 100 plan now, you’ll basically get an automatic upgrade to NBN 250 (assuming your connection can handle it). This will take three months and coincide with a current six month discount on the NBN 100 plan, which is A $ 74.95 versus A $ 89.95.
In short, for three months, you can get NBN 250 for AU $ 74.95 per month, which is pretty cute: that would normally cost you AU $ 119.95 with no discounts. After three months, your connection will automatically be downgraded to 100 Mbit / s.
If you want NBN 250, Superloop is currently offering its plan for A $ 99.95 per month for the first six months. You can then get it for AU $ 119.95. Whether you prefer a 250Mbps connection or don’t think you need it, you can temporarily log in and, I don’t know, download your entire Steam backlog while things go well. After all, there are no fixed-term contracts. For more price war gimmicks, check out NBN’s best plans for games in 2021 here.
