Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush, the sequel to Halfbrick’s popular casual arcade game starring Barry Steakfries, the studio mascot, is now available in a handful of territories. These areas are Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
The original Jetpack Joyride was released nearly a decade ago and has been downloaded more than a billion times from the Google Play Store since then.
In the statistically unlikely event that you are unfamiliar with the game, it’s an endless runner where you jetpack through a world of villains and weapon upgrades.
And here’s a bonus little thing for you: Jetpack Joyride was called the Machine Gun Jetpack during development, before Halfbrick apparently concluded that machine guns weren’t cool.
Jetpack Joyride 2 has a number of weapons and obstacles to avoid – similar to the first game. It also features a flamethrower, boss fights, and a variety of backdrops.
Don’t expect many surprises, but a second serving of Jetpack Joyride is still very welcome.
You can now download Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush if you happen to live in one of the anointed regions.
Otherwise you have to wait.
