Greatest mid tower case 2021 | PC participant

The best mid-tower case offers a comfortable fit for all but the most extravagant gaming PCs. That doesn’t mean that you can’t fit a lot in a central tower either. Almost all of them offer generous space for your SSDs, HDDs and the best graphics cards. Here you will also find space for the best liquid coolers.

While you need to look further afield – to the best full-tower cases – for a really spacious build, a mid-tower case makes a great starting point for anyone building a new PC or considering an upgrade.

When looking for the best center-tower PC case, there are a few things to keep in mind: You want easy access to your components, good support for fans and coolers, and high-quality materials. You also need adequate airflow. Oh, and you want it to look great too.

Think about it. You have spent a lot of money on your graphics card or other expensive component. The last thing you need is a lousy airflow case. Or one that looks bad. With the right case, your parts stay convenient and in the best location. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the best mid-tower cases.

1. NZXT H710i

The best mid-tower PC case

Form factor: Middle tower | Motherboard support: Mini-ITX, MicroATX, ATX and EATX (up to 272 mm or 10.7 inches) | Dimensions: 230 x 516 x 494 mm | Weight: 12.3 kg | Radiator bracket: Front: 2x 140 mm or 3x 120 mm with push / pull, top: 2x 140 mm or 3 x 120 mm, rear: 1x 120 mm or 1x 140 mm | I / O ports: 2x USB 3.1 Type A Gen 1, 1 x USB 3.1 Type C Gen 2, 1 x audio / microphone | Drive bays: 7 x 2.5 inches, 4 x 3.5 inches

Integrated addressable LED lighting

CAM-operated “Smart Device”

Vertical GPU bracket

This latest version of NZXT’s “smart” chassis brings some new features to modernize your build. This ultra-clean and uncomplicated central tower emphasizes above all comfort. It has many of the same features as its predecessor, but costs a little more and just has a few nice changes. The NZXT H710i now has a USB 3.1 Type-C port on the front and the ability to mount your GPU vertically with a separate PCIe riser.

The H710i has built-in RGB lighting around the tempered glass sidewall controlled by the NZXT CAM software and a built-in LED lighting node that allows easy control of the RGB lighting and fan speed. To keep things cool, the H710i has air vents that cover the perimeter of each side of the case, aided by the four 120mm fans contained in the case.

When it comes to cable routing, the H710i shines – mainly through a large aluminum batten that you can use to route your cables into the integrated cable channels on the rear of the housing. This cover keeps everything clean and tidy, and the Velcro strips built into the back hold everything in place. An excellent and easy alternative to the rubber gasket solution of some of the best center towers.

2. Cooler Master SL600M

The best high-end central tower

Form factor: Central tower | Motherboard support: Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX (support up to 12 “x 10.7”) | Dimensions: 544 x 242 x 573 mm | Weight: 13.6 kg | Radiator bracket: 120 mm, 140 mm, 240 mm, 280 mm, 360 mm | I / O ports: 1x USB 3.1 Type C, 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x audio / microphone | Drive bays: 8 x 2.5 inches, 4 x 3.5 inches

Sandblasted aluminum finish

Excellent GPU cooling

Decent noise reduction

The MasterCase SL600M has to be one of the most beautifully designed cases from Cooler Master. It’s made of anodized aluminum with a sandblasted finish and just enough posture to make it look sleek, futuristic, and elegant at the same time. We were even more impressed when we opened it to have it installed.

The CM SL600M is the first case we tested with a vertical chimney that just makes sense and works. Cooler Master went all in with the SL600M, completely sealing the front, and moving the entire power supply cover and case from bottom to front. All of this newly opened space combined with generous feet enables the case to direct the airflow directly onto the GPU.

While CPU temperatures suffer slightly from this design, the SL600M has the lowest GPU temperatures of any mid-tower we tested. Mount the graphics card vertically and away from the glass with the rotating PCI bracket, and cooling will be even better. Although the case offers the connectivity and convenience you would expect from a high-end mid-tower, it unfortunately lacks an included GPU riser cable.

3. Cooler Master H500M

The best central tower for airflow

Form factor: Central tower | Motherboard support: Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX (support up to 12 “x 10.7”) | Dimensions: 544 x 248 x 546 mm | Weight: 14.2 kg | Radiator bracket: 120 mm, 140 mm, 240 mm, 280 mm, 360 mm | I / O ports: 1x USB 3.1 Type C, 2x USB 3.0, 1x audio / microphone | Drive bays: 3 x 2.5 inches, 2 x 3.5 inches

It’s massive (supports E-ATX)

High airflow with 2x 200mm RGB fans

Cooler Master’s H500M is the company’s newest flagship in the center of the tower. However, we’d prefer to call it a full-size tower. At 21.4 x 9.8 x 21.5 inches, the H500M is one of the largest center towers on this list. Thanks to its size and internal layout, it is easy to integrate and supports a wide variety of components and custom cooling options.

The H500M comes with two massive 200mm RGB LED fans that instantly increase airflow. Other modern details include a USB 3.1 Type-C port and a variety of modularities, including the option to choose between a mesh or tempered glass faceplate.

Our only major problem with the case is the lack of easily removable magnetic dust filters for the front fan inlet. Fortunately, the entire mesh of the entire H500 line has a secondary filter layer that will help keep dust out of your build. We mention the dust because the H500M has serious airflow and is prepared to keep the best gaming PCs cool.

4. Lian-Li PC-011 Dynamic

The best mid-range medium tower

Form factor: Central tower | Motherboard support: E-ATX, ATX, M-ATX, Mini-ITX | Dimensions: 446 x 272 x 445 mm | Weight: 9.7 kg | Radiator bracket: 120 mm, 240 mm, 280 mm, 360 mm | I / O ports: 2x USB 3.0, 2x HD audio, 1x USB 3.1 Type C | Drive bays: 6 x 2.5 inches, 3 x 3.5 inches

Synapse 3 compatible RGB lighting

Lots of headroom for upgrades

If you rely on vertical space, the Lian-Li PC-011 Dynamic is a short and blunt alternative to some of the longer necked PC cases we’ve seen. While it doesn’t come with the most accurate instructions due to its proprietary lighting technology, it’s one of two Razer-designed PC cases out there. And of the two, this one is the best.

The installation of components in the PC-011 with tempered glass is easy. You can remove the top and both sides of the case for easy access to the internal parts. Parts of the process that used to be stressful, such as B. Liquid chiller installations are now stumbling blocks of a bygone era.

If you’re willing to spend a little extra cash on the vanilla model, the PC-011 is also available in a Razer edition. Fully integrated with San Franciscan’s Synapse 3 lighting software, you can even coordinate it with your other Razer-made peripherals.

5. Snow blind elements

The best center tower to showcase your kit

Form factor: Central tower | Motherboard support: ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX | Dimensions: 203 x 475 x 437 mm | Weight: 8 kg | Radiator bracket: 120 mm; 140 mm; 240 mm; 280mm | I / O ports: 1x audio / microphone, 2x USB 3.0 (type A) | Drive bays: 2x 2.5 inches, 2x 3.5 inches

The sidewall is a goddamn screen

Solid cable management

Ibuypower’s Snowblind Elements case is nothing less than a statement. What may look like your standard tempered glass sidewall is actually a 1024×1280 LED screen. This screen works almost the same as a monitor, allowing you to change the background, add dynamic wallpapers, or even run applications with a distorted aspect ratio. That’s all. Aside from the panel, which is cool, this case doesn’t do much to part with its peers.

This Elements case is by no means bad. Ibuypower even rips a page out of the NZXT book when it comes to cable management, and uses a raised slat to route the cables to the back of the case instead of relying on a handful of pre-spaced holes with rubber seals.

Aside from being remarkably expensive, it also has a below average number of fan mounts, making the interior space less than ideal airflow. When I pay that much for a case, I have someone choose a color other than white.
