Speaking Level: What are you enjoying this weekend? (20. February)

After what has been the busiest week in the Nintendo world in a while – you’re welcome to catch up on everything that was announced during Nintendo Direct this week – it’s finally time to take a breather and talk about our weekend fixtures.

Members of the Nintendo Life team did just that. So you can read our entries and then register with your own contributions via our comment area. Enjoy!

Hello everybody! I hope you are all well. I collapsed folks … I bought Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Rage. I’ve seen everyone online praising it left, right, and center, and … well, that’s the power of FOMO. This is my plan anyway! Looking forward to diving back into the main game, even though I’ve flushed it a couple of times …

Elsewhere I’ll be playing a couple of smaller titles like knocker, Thimbleweed Park, and Oxfree. I’ve been spending so much time playing huge, all-encompassing games lately that it’s nice to sit back and not worry about spending hours investing in a title.

Hi. I’ve come all over Zelda in the last few days, no doubt because of the direct announcement from Wednesday Sky Sword HDand so I’m going to cover a couple of Link’s adventures this weekend, starting with A connection between worlds on 2DS. I should probably jump back in too Breath of the Wild since, rather embarrassingly, I haven’t got my hands on the master sword yet, I foolishly decided to hit the game without hitting it the first time.

Elsewhere, I still blast my way through Bowser’s angerthat I’m having a great time with and that I’ve reinstalled very stupidly Divinity Original Sin 2 for a replay, a game that has been chewing on for hundreds of hours of my life and showing no sign of soon being released from its vice-like grip. Have fun whatever you’re doing or playing this weekend and stay safe out there!

I’m going to break the rules a little first and tell you what I definitely didn’t (and shouldn’t) play: Ring Fit Adventure. It’s been a while since I’ve given Dragaux his fair desserts, but in the meantime I’ve been eating … desserts only. I was busy! Leave me alone!

What I played was a lot oasis, a bit of Vault of heaven (It’s one of those games I want to find everything in, so it’ll take a while) and astrologer. A mixed bag, for sure. One is a romantic adventure, one is an archaeological history secret, and one is a Shakespeare musical about untrustworthy plague doctors. I ignored Deer crossingThe new festival stuff because it sounds heavy and I think I’m still New Horizons tired. But it’s only a month until the new one History of the seasons comes out…

I usually don’t talk about what I’m playing on my non-Switch, but I really want everyone to think I’m cool, so I play too Valheim (along with at least 3 million others). I cut down a tree and it fell on me and I died. It’s pretty awesome.

It is more Super Mario 3D world for me this weekend (I’m done with Bowser’s Fury). Other than that, I’ll be spending some time with SNK VS. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium. It’s been a blast so far and has more depth than I expected for a handheld fighting game from 1999.

Oh, and when I have extra time, I’ll be sure to check out the new Nintendo Switch Online versions. I’ll probably take a look at it Psycho Dream, Solomon’s Key II and Shin Megami Tensei II. Have fun playing!

I have the wonderful job of installing a baseboard that is going to take a lot of time, but between uncomfortable glues and sealing all of my flaws, I’ll definitely dive into some cathedral. It’s a cute little game that drove me to bananas. If I’m tired of dying from the same thing multiple times, I’ll probably jump to a point Blue fire.

And who knows? Maybe I’ll go crazy and run the great Xbox One and try a little bit of it The Master Chief Collectioneven though I should really get into it again Spirit of Tsushima, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Rage, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Red Dead Redemption II, DOOM foreverand the mandatory addition to my 495 hours in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

It’s not a residue problem if I don’t look directly at it.

A radical GameCube weekend with a combination of Wave racing: blue storm and 1080º avalanche wait! A little more of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Rage, lots of broken bones and egos in Wrestling Empire, Jalecos Cybattlerand the completion of oasis should do well on Switch before Monday’s suppression returns.

This time I’ve been cheating on my game of the week since then Capcom Arcade Stadium has 32 of them. There’s not a single bad game out there either, a feature-rich deluxe pack with incredible presentation, and it really is the best way to prepare for the arrival of Arthur’s new adventure next week. The bar for retro gaming emulation on the Switch has reached a new high.

As always, thanks for reading! Leave us a comment in the next few days with your game options …
