It’s been a while since Apple brought more than one game to Apple Arcade in a week. For the past few weeks there has usually been a new game every week with a few major updates alongside new games. Updates for Little Orpheus and Necrobarista were recently released with the following Oceanhorn spin-off Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. Both of today’s new releases are very interesting and different. NUTS is a surveillance mystery game with full voice acting and stunning graphics. The trailer for the game for Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms looked great, but now that I’ve played it for a bit, I’m very impressed with the gameplay and graphics. Check out the NUTS trailer below:
Today’s second release is Orbital Knight’s Spire Blast. Spire Blast is a matching game where you try to break down towers with different targets. It also offers powerups and feels pretty weird to me because during the time I’ve been playing it earlier today I kept reminding myself that this won’t be full of things that will force me to app- Purchases to buy. My only real complaint here is that it’s a forced portrait on iPad as of now. It includes controller support, but I can’t imagine using a controller via the touchscreen for this game on iOS. Check out the Spire Blast gameplay video below:
