Splatoon 2’s Mario-themed Splatfest takes place this weekend. Select your power-up

To continue the 35th anniversary of Super Mario, Nintendo is hosting a Mario-themed Splatfest this weekend in Splatoon 2.

With the event right around the corner, now is the time to join a power-up – Team Super Mushroom or Team Super Star. The promotion itself starts on January 15th (that’s this Friday) and will run over the course of the weekend.

If you want to take part in this next Splatfest, there is a chance to win a special coin to mark the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. This is only available to residents of North America.

And if you’re attending Splatfest, don’t forget to sign up for the Splatoon 2 Splatfest Online Challenge below to win a 35th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Coin!

While we shouldn’t be getting any more Splatfest at this point, Nintendo has been repeating some of the most epic battles in the past few months. So if you have one final event you want to go to, consider launching Splatoon 2 sometime this weekend.

Which power-up will you be fighting for at this upcoming Splatfest? Vote in our poll and let us know in the comments.
