2020 has come and gone, so Twitter decided to show how active the gaming world has been all year round. Many of the results aren’t all that surprising. Fortnite was a hugely popular game theme at # 6, according to Twitter, and it was also # 5 in the top 10 most tweeted games of the year.
Even so, there are some Nintendo-related surprises that are on the charts. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the most tweeted game of the year, and the Animal Crossing franchise was the ninth of the top ten most visited game themes of the year. The different diagrams can be seen below.
