As the first mission starts, it will be a tutorial, so simply follow the on screen instructions. Walk forward a bit and make a right. Jump over the gap and grab the ledge on the far side. Make a left and head towards the waterfall and jump in the water there. Swim to the far side and climb up the ledge there. Once you are on top, you will be shown how to use your PDA. Push the rock in front of you out of the way and jump across the gap. Make a right and grab the vine there and climb up it. Jump to the next vine on the right and then again to land on the platform. From here, jump across to the next vine and swing over to the cave opening. Head inside and turn on your flashlight to see where you are going. Follow the tunnel around to the other side and jump across the gap. Now you will be shown a scene of where you need to go. Jump to the wall beside you and grab the crack and shimmy along.
When you reach the corner, jump to the ledge behind you and pull up. Hop into the water and run along it and move to the side to avoid the large rolling rock coming at you. Continue along the water and you will come to some bars. Jump and grab the first one and swing to the next once you move to the left. Grab the second and move to the left as far as you can and jump to the rock ledge. Grab it and then jump across to the ledge on the right. When you reach it a scene will play and it’ll be time for some action. Take out the guard in front of you and continue down the river until you come to a large angled log. Run up it and jump to the ledge behind it. Pull up and then go to the other side of the rock there and push it onto the log. The other end will rise, giving you a pole to swing on. Jump down to the rock below and jump up to grab the branch. Swing to the next rock and run to the shining round object.
Use your cable to latch on to it and pull it back to open the door way. Head through, watch the scene and then take out the guards. When they are down, stand on the rocks and jump to the ledge under the water fall. Jump back to the crack on the column and shimmy around as far as you can go. Jump to the left and jump up and again till you ontop of the platform. Walk around and jump over to grab the rope there. Swing to the far side and run to the right. Jump to grab the bars there and swing over to the next platform. Follow the path around and take out the guard there. Once he is down, jump across the gap and let loose your grapple to snag the object over head. Swing across the gap and land on the other side. Continue through the doorway and a scene will eventually play.
Once it is over, shoot the rocks and then slide down the slope to the bottom. Take out the guards and head to the left and grab the rope there. Climb up and swing to the other side of the cliff. Slide down the next slope and take out the guards there. Head up the large stairs and enter the doorway. Head down the hallway and the floor will open up as you approach the shiny object above you. Make a big swing to the other side and enter the next room. IN here will be some chains. Jump on the first chain and climb up and jump to the next and back and forth when you run out of room on each. The chains will start moving downwards so you need to be quick about it. When you are on the last chain, jump to the cave opening and you will come to another chain. Ride it down and head through the doorway at the bottom. Jump in the water pool when you come to it and swim to the right and then to the left. Swim up when you reach the path and climb out.
Continue forward and you will run into the toughest jaguar ever. Kill it and continue to some moving blocks. Run through tem and then grab the cage on the other side. Push it through the next set of moving blocks so that they can’t close on you. Once you get to the other side, make a right and you will enter a large room that will take some cage moving to get through. Grab the cage on the right and move it to the pressure plate right before it. This will open the gears for the main door on the right. You will need to place two more cages on two more plates. Jump down to the water and kill the jag there. Next, go over to the far left side and there will be a large platform with a cage under it. Pull the cage out, and then when the platform lowers, push the cage onto it. Leave the cage there and then jump back up to the top floor where you entered and run to the end of the middle platform. Step up the steps there and jump off to the left to land on the platform that the cage is on.
When you land, you will launch the cage up onto the top level and you will be able to move it to a pressure plate. Do the same for the other cage down in the water and the main door in the center of the far wall will open. Once it does, run to the far left wall of where you entered and jump on the chain’ Climb up and jump back to the ledge behind you. Shimmy around and jump up to the next ledge. Jump when you are standing to grab the chain over head and shimmy along to the other side. Drop down twice and shimmy right and then jump to the bar there. Swing to the next platform and enter the doorway. When you enter it, you need to perform a series of button presses to get through a trap here. Press the buttons as they appear on screen and you’ll get through fine.
Once you are in the next room, hang off the edge of the entrance and shimmy to the right. Drop down each ledge till you reach the ground and kill the jag there. When he’s dead, go to the platform in the corner of the room and jump to the bar parallel to where you entered. Swing from bar to bar three times and on the last, jump to the ledge on the wall ahead of you. Shimmy right, past the corner and then jump to the right to the next ledge. Jump up and shimmy right and jump up again. Jump to the left and shimmy around the corner to enter the next room. Drop to the ground and run to the wall in front of you. Jump up to the top and you will enter a long hallway which will eventually lead outside. After the scene is over, quickly run across the bridge jumping where you need to. Once you reach the other side, tale out the numerous guards there and a scene will play to end the chapter.
Peru Return to Paraiso
Run forward and you will need to meet Anaya at the statue in the middle of town. Head forward and give the dummy a shot and continue to the left. Meet Anaya and a scene will play. After it is over, kill all the enemies that appear and then jump on the flag pole. Climb up and jump over to the balcony. Walk to the corner and jump and use your grapple to swing to the rooftop across from you. Enter the door there and kill the guard inside. Kick open the next door and continue through to the next area. Continue to clear out the enemies and move from rooftop to rooftop. Eventually you will come to a large area with many enemies on the ground. Drop down and take them out.
When they are all dead, head for the motor bike between the crates and you will take off on it. Riding the bike is a pretty simple affair. The only thing you really need to be concerned about is hitting things dead on. If you do a head on collision with rocks or anything, you will fly off and die. Simply race through the canyon and fire at the mercs as they come up to you on their bikes. Slow down if you need to keep them in sight but continue driving when they fly off. Continue and eventually you will come to a broken bridge. Make the jumps and you will need to race through another stretch of open road until you finally come to some trucks. Avoid the crates that fall out the back of them and one of the trucks will lower its gate to reveal some guards. Shoot them and then drive up the gate to the back of the truck. Once you up on it, a scene will play and you will have saved Anaya.
After the next scene plays, you will be in a flashback scene and in the good old uniform that we all know and love. Move forward and dive through the opening. When you come to the sink hole, listen to Amanda and jump to grab the bar above. Shimmy across and continue down the tunnel until you see someone. When you do, the rocks above will collapse and you’ll need to back track a few steps. Enter the opening on the left and dive under the gate. When you enter the next room, you’ll see a dead colleague on the ground near a crate. Grab the crate and push it over to the pressure plate and some spikes will pop out. Place the crate under the lone spike and jump up and grab it. Swing from it to the platform and then jump diagonally to grab the ledge above the stone face. Shimmy to the left and jump to the other side.
Continue down the tunnel and drop down the ledge and you will come to another colleague. Talk to him through the bars and he will tell you there is a hole above him and to get him out. Grab the gold ball behind you and pull it through the spikes to the other side. Take it off the pressure plate and then climb up the ledge in the corner of the room. Jump from there to the rope hanging and climb up and swing over to the ledge above Kent. When you land, drop down the opening and a scene will play. Once the scene is over, you will need to quickly jump over the rocks and continue down the tunnel. When you see the rope, jump into the room and the creature will just miss you. Climb the ledge in the corner that has a gold ball on it and push it off. It should roll through the room over to a pressure plate that will make some spikes stick out. Jump to the platform and then jump to grab the spike. Swing to the rope and then swing to the ledge on the far side. Continue through the opening and shimmy over the spiked pit. Enter the next room and a scene will play and end the flashback.
Now that you are back in the present, have your chat with Anaya and then you will be back in control. Head to the far side opposite the jeep and jump in the water pool. Dive down and make your way through each opening, stopping to get air in each one where you see light shining in. When you reach the last room, there will be 4 glowing stones around the walls. You need to pull each of the four stones quickly and a door will open up for you. Don’t worry about having to surface for air, since once you hit all 4, a scene will play and you will be out of the water. Once you are back in control, head for the door with a hole in it and jump through. Another scene will play explaining a little about mythology. After the scene, run around the wall and head through the corridor. Jump on the ledge to the right and climb up and use the grapple to swing over to the next landing. Climb up the ledge on the right here as well and again use your grapple to swing to proceed.
As you enter the next area, the room will start to shake and you will need to follow the onscreen button presses to survive. Do so and you will come to a large puzzle that you need to solve to proceed. Step in to the big room and you will see three pressure plates on the floor. Take the gold ball on the left and roll it to the pressure plate to the right. The statue to the right will open and give you a ladder to climb up. Climb up it to the top and then jump to the center. Jump up twice and then over again to another ladder. Make your way to the top and push the gold ball here over the edge. Climb back down the ladders and move the gold ball to the plate on the left side. Now for the final ball. Make your way back towards the pit and there will be a ball high up on the right side. Use your grapple to tag the shiny metal part on its ledge and pull the pillar down bringing the ball with it. Roll the ball to the last plate and the doors in the center will open. Climb up the ladder there and enter the doorway for a scene to play.
After the scene, jump over to the ladder across from you and climb up. Follow the top ledge along and jump to the next platform and up to the ledge there. Shimmy around to the break and jump sideways to grab the next. Continue along and drop down when you reach the ledges below. When you reach the bottom platform, jump to the rope and swing to the platform. Jump across to the next and take out the guards below. Slide down the ramp and head through the doorway. Follow the corridor that you went through earlier and you will eventually come to the door with the hole in it. Kill the guards in the next room and climb the rope at the far end. Swing to the opening and head through. Now you will need to run through the area that you swam through before. Climb the ladder when you reach it and you will need to climb up a few more ledges. Once you climb those, grab the rope and you will finally reach the top of the hole. Kill the rest of the guards around the top of the area and a scene with Anaya will play.
Japan – Meeting with Takamoto
As you enter the party, make your way to the bartender and have a chat with him. He will tell you to go to the office down the hallway. Look for the office with the green light and head to it. Enter it and a scene will play. Once it is over, head back out to the party and another scene will play with Takamoto’s guards. Kill them all and watch the next scene. Head to the elevator down the opposite hall from where the office was. Once you are on the roof, make your way to the left and go through the sliding glass door. Shoot the barrel under the scaffolding just around the corner and a drain pipe will be visible. Climb up it and jump to the right. Climb up to the roof and make your way left until you can see the shining skylight. Use the grapple and pull the cover over and drop down the hole. Grab the motorbike inside and ride it out through the door and around the corner. Drive towards the ramp and cutscene will play where you need to push the shown buttons. Once you land safely, jump over to the pole on the left and swing to the scaffolding.
Jump over to the next plank and again until you see the shining blue sparkle. Press the right stick and shoot the blue mark to drop the glass there and you will be able to jump and grab the rope. Swing to the next platform and jump to the cable to zip to the building across the street. Look to the left and there will be a rig you can grab with your grapple. Pull it and detach and it will start to swing. Jump on it and then use your grapple on the light fixture above you. Swing from it, around the corner to the next platform. Once you land on it, swing to two more movable rigs and then to the light fixture at the end. Swing around the corner again and onto the patio. Kill the guards that appear and enter the building. Head up the stairs and enter the door at the end of the hall there. When you enter, kill the guards around the room and use the grapple on the large TV screen at the far end. Pull it and it will almost fall. Use your guns to pop the two clips holding it up and it will completely come down. Hop on top of it and continue killing guards and go through the door marked exit. Hop on the pole to the right and climb up, jumping backwards to the screen behind you at the top.
Shimmy around the corner and climb up to the top. Use the grapple on the shiny part next to you and pull the platform down. Jump across to the platform with the ladder and climb up. Use the grapple there again to turn the next platform and jump to grab the bar and swing to the ledge. Jump over to the metal pole and climb up and jump backwards to the bar there. As you grab it, the platform will come down. Wait for it to and then jump back to the pole, climb up, and then jump on the top of the platform. Head to the next pole and climb up and it will start to give way. Jump to the bars and swing from bar to bar until you land on the balcony and can enter the door. Kill the guards in here and go through the open door on the left. Grab the large gold ball and use it for cover as you head down the next hall. Once you pass the turret, head through the next door and have a little chat with Takamoto.
Once the scene is over and the guards open fire, kill them all and then use the grapple on the dragon. Pull it back and then detach to let it smash through the glass. Climb up the bookshelf and through the broken window and continue to the elevator. Hop in it and a scene will play as you enter Takamoto’s sanctuary. Once the scene is over, you will need to take him down. As soon as the battle starts, run behind one of the statues and climb the pole behind it to get to the second floor. From here the turrets won’t be able to reach you. Now you simply need to lock on to Takamoto with L1 and continue to fire at him while walking sideways towards him. Takamoto will fire green balls at you which you can easily avoid. When they come along the ground, just jump and when they come high, just duck. Continue moving towards him and there will be once or twice you will get rather close to him. When you do, toss a grenade at him to really damage him. After a little ducking and jumping Takamoto will drop for good.
Ghana – Pursuing James Rutland
Once you land in Ghana, head forward towards the waterfall. Jump in the water ahead of you and once you land, swim out to the platform I n the center. Climb the ledge ot the right and jump to grab the rope. As you lower, a peg will come out of the wall there. Hop off the rope and use your grapple on the wall and pul it over to reveal where the temple is behind the waterfall. After the scene, walk forward to the water pit and use your grapple to snag the floating platform. Pull it to you and then jump to the rope. Jump to the next and finally to the other side. Head up the stairs and follow the corridor around past the non-working traps. When you round the corner, you will hit a pressure plate that will open a gate at the far end. Run there before it closes and enter the next room. Kill the guards in here and head across the water to the right side. Climb up the ledge there and reach the second level. Use the machine gun here and fire at the pillar to the left near the water wheel.
When it is destroyed, the wheel will move and the traps will be active. Walk to the left side and diagonally jump from the platform to the rope there. Swing from the rope to the bars sticking out of the wheel, from one to the other and then to another rope. Swing to the platform on the other side and there will be a metal platform you can snag. Use your grapple and pull it over and then jump on it. Use your grapple again on the stump to the far side and pull to move the platform over to it. Jump over to the ledge and make your way to the other waterwheel. Jump over to the bars sticking out of it and then to the ladder on the far side of it. Climb up and turn to find another. Make your way up and eventually you will come to another large room. Kill the jag in it and drop down. Head to the ramp on the right and make your way up and across and down the stairs on the other side. Head straight to the small ledge there and climb up. Jump from here to the first swinging block and wait a spell for it to lower and the other to rise. Jump over to the next block and then grab the ladder.
Climb up and walk along the platform there and a scene will show you the room. Jump off the far side and land in the water below. Make your way up the ladder in the corner and back jump off to the block behind you. Let it lower until the next block is in sight and then run and jump on it. From there, jump on to the next platform and you will see an over head object that you can grapple to. Swing across and then make your way along the wall using the cracks and ledges until you come to the platform that you need to side jump to. Once you land there, step on the pressure plate and a large crate will fall when a platform spins. Jump across the platforms to the other side and move the crate there onto the pressure plate. Jump back across and stand on the first plate. When the platforms spin, quickly run across the spinning platform to the center and use your grapple on the center statue and pull it’s arms down. Once you do, a scene will play and the room will fill with water. Jump down into the water and head out through the opening that the water is rushing through, where you entered earlier. Follow the same path down and you will come to the second water wheel again at the bottom of the ladder which is now active.
Drop when you reach the bottom of the ladder and make your way over to the other water wheel. Hop across like you did earlier and when you reach the other side, grab the metal platform and pull your self over to the doorway with the traps that are now moving. Head through and continue until you come to the spinning blade traps. Use the first large block there to push and stop the blades from hitting you. Once past that, move to the second and you will be able to pull a block out of the wall near the corner. Use that block for the next set of blades and push it along about halfway to stop the blades. Climb on top of the block and jump to safety. Once you are past those traps, you’re not free yet. Continue and a large rock will come after you. Jump and roll over the logs that block your path and the rock will take a dive. After you are back in control, jump to the pole across from you and over to the crack in the wall. Shimmy around and jump to the next and jump up. When you reach the top ledge, quickly jump down and back over to the other ledge to avoid the falling rocks.
Once it passes, hop back to the ledges and jump back to the pole. Swing from one to the next and over to the platform. Jump over to the metal platform and to the platform in the middle. Jump again to the next metal platform and again to reach the other side. Jump to the pole sticking out of the wall and then over to the small platform across from you. Shimmy to the left around the corner and up quickly. Jump to the right to the pole to avoid the rocks and jump again to the pole. Swing to the next three and jump to the ledge. Shimmy around the corner quickly to avoid more rocks and then jump to the next ledge and up. Jump to the left and grab the platform there. Pull up and head into the doorway. Follow the corridor and a scene will play as Lara finds some of her mother’s belongings. Continue through the hall and you will come to some gaps. Use the grapple to get over them and then you will come to some enemies. You can destroy them along with the bridge or just kill them and run across. Either way, enter the large room on the other side and take a looksie around. Jump over to the pole in front of you and to the ledge.
Make your way up and around the ledges to the next set of poles and swing over to the platform. Take out the guards in here and then head across the large bridge. Once the room is cleared, head through the doorway and up the stairs on the left. Jump to the rope in the center to avoid the rolling rock. Jump to the stairs on the right and run up. Hide in the alcove to avoid the rock here and then stand on the pressure plate at the top to open the door. Roll through as it starts to close and then have a chat with Rutland. After the scene, you’ll need to square off against him and his piece of the sword. Rutland will keep healing himself each time you hit him so you need to stop him from doing that. Around the room there, there are 4 pillars that have blocks you can shoot. Target them and press Triangle to destroy each. Once the blocks are destroyed, there will be a metal object there that you can grab with your grapple. Do so and pull and the pillar will crumble. Do that for each of the 4 pillars and Rutland will be screwed as far as healing himself goes. Start aiming at him and firing and tossing grenades to take him down a lot faster. Once he drops the chapter is over.
Kazakhstan – Project Carbonek
Hop through the opening in the fence and jump off the cliff. As you land, you’ll need to release a parachute by the onscreen button press. As you land on the roof, grab the machine gun there and start it clearing house of all the enemies that appear from the building ahead of you. Once all the all enemies are down, hop over to the right and jump to the pole there and swing to the box ahead of you. Climb to the rooftop and use the vantage point to clear out the rest of the enemies. When the rest of them are dead, hop down to the ground and enter the building and grab whatever ammo there is laying around. In the building will be a ladder near the doorway that you can climb to reach the roof. Do so and make your way to the open skylight. Jump from the cover to the next platform and then jump on the cable and slide down. When you reach the ground, clear out the rest of the enemies there and look for the door to the small building. Enter it and a scene will play. After the scene is over, head back out and make your way to the machine gun ahead of you.
Take out the guards that appear and then follow the road to the closed gate. Use the control panel beside it to open it and there will be a series of rolling barrels coming down the hill. After the first set explodes, run in and go to the far left. Run up the hill and kill the guard at the top and destroy the barrels. Enter the door there and a scene will play telling you that the train you want is about to leave. Head up the ladder to the roof and jump across to the next ladder. Climb up and jump to grab the cable and zip across the yard. From here, grab the next cable and zip again and you will land on the roof you were originally on to start with. Kill the guards around the tunnel entrance and when they are dead the gate will open. Hop down and grab the motorbike there and start your way down the tunnel. Time for some more fun motorbike riding. For this part of the mission, you can just follow the road to the right of the train and fire at enemy bikers when they appear. There will be two times during the ride that the train will enter a tunnel and you will need to take a side path along the tunnel with a few turns.
The drive is pretty straight forward until you hit the second tunnel. Once you do, there will be a few ramps that you need to drive up to eventually land on the train. Make sure you hit the ramps square or else you will die. Once you land on the train, a scene will play and you will need to perform some button presses to make sure you are safe. Follow the on screen instructions and you will eventually come out in a station of sorts. From the platform you are on, use your grapple and pull the chain swinging closer to you. When it comes, jump on and swing over to the next platform. Climb up the ladder there and jump to the right to grab onto the sign. Shimmy to the left and jump to grab the pole. Swing to the next and then to the ground. Use your grapple to pull the next chain and jump to grab it. Swing over the fire to the platform and drop down. Pull the crate there closer to the railing and jump on top. Shoot the fan in the vent and then jump over to the ledge and pull your self up and enter the vent. Follow the corridor and hop over the wires and roll under the next set.
Make a left at the next corridor and jump to the pole and then the rope. Land on the other side and slide down the slope hoping over the next batch of wires. When you reach the bottom, make a right and shoot the fan as you roll under the wires. Make another left and slide down another slope. Jump over the wires and shoot the fan at the bottom. Continue forward and make your way past a few more wires and down another slope. When you reach the bottom, jump to a pole and jump off while tossing out your grapple. Slide to the bottom of your rope and swing to the other side. Shoot the fan as you slide down the slope and enter the next room. Make your way to the electrical box to the left and climb on top. Jump diagonally to the box on the wall and then jump right to the platform. Jump to the next platform against the wall and make a right. At the end, jump over to the rope and a pipe will come down. Use the grapple on the shiny object in front of the machine and pull to start up the power.
Head through the door and there will be a gas cloud in front of you. Jump to the platform above you and again to the pole and swing to the rope. Continue a round the corner and you will come to another corridor with more traps. Jump up to get away from the gas and there will be a pipe with electricity running through it. Jump to grab the pipe after the current passes and shimmy to the right. Jump backwards off the pipe to the box on the wall and shimmy around the corner. Drop down once and then jump backwards to the platform there. Now you will need to cross another electrified pipe. Jump and grab it when the current passes and press Triangle to shimmy across fast. Drop down at the other side and enter the door there. After the scene with Amanda, you’ll be in a room with the “big gun thing”. Hop on it and use it to pull the metal platform closer to you. When you do, the gun won’t be operational anymore so hop of and jump over to the platform. Jump to the platform ahead and below you and go through the door there. Hop on top of the platform and shoot the pipes in your way.
Use the grapple to snag the metal object at the end and pull your self towards it. Jump onto the next platform and jump over the bar as you pull yourself again. Jump on the third platform and repeat the same thing. Make a right when you get to the end and enter the door there to find Amanda again. As the scene ends, you will need to face of against her little pet. Run around the room, rolling and jumping to avoid it and there will be four white panels to activate. Hit each one and then the sword fragment will lower in the center of the room. Head there and jump on the big gun there and look around you. There will be four round sphere conductors between the electricity beams. You need to shoot everyone of the four so that they get pushed into the electrical beam. The beast will try to knock you off the gun and each time you hit one of the sphere’s it will only stay in the beam for a few seconds. Take aim at the beast and nail him when he rises up so that you can throw him back into a beam. When he does, he will disappear for a little bit. When he’s gone, circle the gun around and nail each of the four spheres. When all four are in the beam, jump off the gun and immediately use your grapple to snag the sword fragment above you. Once you do, a scene will play and the chapter will end.
England – King Arthur’s Tomb?
As you enter the museum, use the grapple and pull the cover off the vent up above. Grab the box from the room under it and push it under it. Jump up and climb into the vent. Grab the next vent cover and pull it off and dive through to come out to an alley. Jump and grab the ledge above the window and jump to the left across a few and then up to the ledge above. Climb past the fence and drop down on the other side and turn on the power. Climb up the drain pipe and make your way back across over the electrified water below. Jump to the right when you get to the end and go through the door there. Now that you are back at the entrance, make your way to the flashing door and pull on the sword to open it. Go through to enter the museum and jump over the pit to gab the pole. Swing to the next and it will move to bang against the wall. Jump backwards to the next pole and swing to grab the next across from you. When it starts to lower, jump back to the pole you were just on and swing. Jump on top of the landing you pulled down and enter the next room. Shoot the rope holding up the wooden ledge and jump over to it and over to the far side. Pull the sword there to open a shaft beside the door. Use the grapple to latch the rock and pull it to open the door.
Let go and run through to enter a room with a forklift. Hop on it and you will need to clear the boxes that are blocking the entrance down the stairs. You can also stack the boxes to enter the vent on the wall to the right. Once you have the path clear, drive down the stairs and move the two boxes on the left. Smash through the wall and continue driving down the tunnel. The traps here won’t hurt you as you drive past, so keep going till you come to a gate. Use the forks to lift the gate and continue to the next wall to break through. When you do, a scene will play and you will need to press X to live. After the scene, you’ll need to make your way down to the bottom. It’s pretty straight forward but dome of the ledges will break and fall if you dilly dally too long on them. Start at the left side and jump from the broken stairs to the ledge on the left side. Jump across to the platform and continue working your way down. Once you reach the bottom, there will be a large door with a III on it. Push it and then head for the stairs and through the doorway. Make a left and hop over the fire water and continue through the next hallway. Here will be a set of fire pits and a crate.
Use the crate to jump on and jump over the flames and then pull it with your cable around the corner to the next set. Once you are past the second set, pull the box up to the large gate and use it to jump over. When you are on the other side, pull the lever to open it and pull the crate in. Use the crate on the set of blades to the right to find another crate. Pull it through and place it on the blades across from where you entered. Push the other crate through and then pull the second out of the blades so that you have two crates and you are right before the fire patch. Use both crate, one in front of the other and run across the to get over the fire. Once on the other side, pull the lever to open the door and run through the corridor till you come to a pressure plate. It will open a door at the far end but you need something to put on it.
Hop in the water to the left and swim to the far end. Hop out to the right and there will be two handing chandeliers. Snag the far one and make it swing back and forth. Release it and it will break the bars on the far side. Grapple the coffin inside and pull it into the water. Use the torches on the wall to ride the coffin to the entrance and hop to the ledge. Stand on the plate and pull the coffin onto it. Head through the open gate and continue through the corridor and you will come to some water. Pull the lever to the left and the gate will open. Jump on the coffin there and ride it until you see the opening on the right. Jump through and swim forward and to the left. Make another left and you will come to another lever. Pull it and the coffin will come through. Hop on it and wait for the next opening on the left. Jump through and you will come out to a very large water filled room.
Make your way to the far end and there will be two torch poles. Grapple each one and turn them and then head to the far left of the temple. Climb the ledges there and slide down the slope. Jump to the pole and it will spin. Swing and jump off and grapple the bowl high above. Swing to the next pole and it will spin as well. Jump from that pole over to the ledge and make your way up and across. You eventually land on a chain, so climb up and then jump back to the ledge behind you. Run to the left and there will be a rope leading down. Jump on it and slide down to enter the tomb. Watch the scene and then you will need to ring the bell in the room. Walk over to Bedwyr’s tomb and pull the rock over to the half pillar.
Leave it for a minute and walk over in front of Arthur. Snag the chandelier above and pull it. Make it rock back and forth and then climb the stone and the pillar and jump over to the weight rope to raise the bell. The chandelier will hit it and make it ring. It took me more than a few tries, but when you get it right, a scene will play. Once the scene is over, head through the large doors that open and you will come back out to the large water room. Now you will notice that there are targets in the room. When the large monster attacks, what you need to do is shoot the large statues beside the levers to get his attention. Pick a close one, either left or right and fire at it until the creature notices. When he does, his head will lower and look at it closely. When the creature does that, immediately use the grapple and snag the level. Pull it back and a set of spikes will drop down on its head. You need to do this three more times and the creature will be no more.
After the beast is dead, hop across its corpse and jump to the ledge. Climb up to the opening and head through the passage. Jump across the gap and use your grapple to swing. Land on the other side and jump to the pole. Swing across and slide down the slope. Jump over the gap and then you will need to follow button presses to get past your big friend again. Once the scene is over, shoot the rope on top of the gate and climb up it to grab it. Swing to the ledge and pull the lever there to open the gate. Drop down the ledge in the next room and pull the lever there to stop the flames to the left. Run through the corridor and tale out the guards on the top of the left ledge. Grab a crate and push it below where they were and then jump up. Push the block marked with a II and then hop back down to you crate.
Pull it to the other side of the room and climb up the ledge here and up top will be a block with an I. Push it and head back down. Grab the crate to get through the blades and you will keep going straight through the gate where another guard will appear. Make your way through the fire in the hallway and you will come back out to a large room with a lift in the center. Climb up the stairs on the right and jump over to it and pres the green button to rise. When it stops, use your grapple to snag the bars and pull the lift over. Jump off to the stairs and make your way up to the hallway there. Continue through taking out the dogs and guards and continue killing and running until you reach the forklift room again. Once you are there, clear it out of enemies and a scene will play to end the chapter.
Nepal – The Ghalali Key
Jump up on the ledge to the right and shimmy your way along quickly. Make your way all the way around to the ledge and drop down. Hop up the next ledge and slide down the slope and jump to the next platform. Drop down and shimmy around the corner and jump backwards. Quickly jump to the right and pull yourself up. Make a jump to the slope on the left and run to the top as is crumbles under you. Jump to grab the pole and quickly jump to the platform across from you. When you land on top of it, turn around and jump and throw at the grapple. Swing and jump over to the icicle hanging. Spin when you grab it and jump to the next and again to the next. Jump and grab the ledge there and shimmy around the corner. Jump up and shimmy around until you come to another ledge above you.
Jump up and to the right will be a discolored part of ice. Toss a grenade at the or your grapple and go through when it breaks. You will come out to another outdoor area with a view. Jump to the platform ahead of you and across to the slope. Slide down and jump to the next slope. When you reach the end, jump to the next platform. When you land on it, quickly run across and jump to the pole and swing to the next platform. Make your way around and you will come out to see a plane wreckage in front of you and a wing to the right. Jump to the wing and climb down to the ground. Make your way to the small area to the left of where you came down and climb down to the plane fuselage. Grab the piece of engine with your grapple and drag it near the plane opening. Step in and climb up the ledge and ten turn and pull the engine into the rear opening. Once it is in, walk towards the front of the plane and you will need to do a series of button presses during the scene. Once it is over, Lara will have one more place to go and visit.
Head to the right of the area and there will be a groove along the cliff edge where the plane was sitting. Hop in and jump over to the slope. Slide down and then jump across to the pole. Swing and jump quickly and continue sliding and shoot through the ice when told so. Once you hit the second pole after sliding down a few more slopes, you land on stable ground. Run around the corner and jump to the platform on the left. Make a right and jump to the pole and then to the ledge ahead of you. Jump to the left and drop down quickly. Jump back to the pole and across to some icicles. Jump onto the first and then over to the platform. Jump from the platform to the ledge on the wall on the other side and shimmy right till you can pull yourself up. Jump to the ledge on the left wall here and shimmy to the right as far as you can go. Make the long jump across the gap to the ledge on the other wall and shimmy to the left.
Jump backwards to the pipe there and climb up. Jump to the right and shimmy along the ledge and jump across to the next ledge. Quickly shimmy right and jump up when the ledge above is accessible. Go through the cave there and you will come across some guards standing around. Kill them all and then hop on the platform in the middle. Jump to the next platform you can reach and then make a right. Jump to the platform there and turn. Jump and there will be a bell over heard to grapple on to. Do so and swing to the far platform and land on it. Jump to grab the cable there and zip across to the cave entrance. Slide down the slope there and you will come to a cave filled with water and ice floes. Jump from one to the next and when you reach a large space between them, shoot the large block of ice above you to drop one down. Jump across to the next platform and continue through to the next large room. Down the center will be a flow of water with some ice chunks that will eventually appear.
Jump on them and run to the left. Soon you will see a tunnel on the far side you can enter. Follow it and go through the doors to find some stairs. Kill the jaguar there and then jump off the center platform. Swing across three times using the grapple to latch on objects above. When you land on the other side, kill another jag. Now you will see three boxes and a weight scale with a platform in the center. You need to get the gold box on the left to the top of the platform and onto the pressure plate. Load the right scale platform with the small box and then run over to the left scale platform. Stand on it and pull the gold box on to it.
Jump on top of the platform in the center and walk to the right scale platform with the small box and it will lower. Pull the large box onto it and the gold box will stay at the top as you step off the platform and climb up to the top of the center one. Pull the gold box to the plate and the large doors in front will open. Enter the hallway there and follow the stairs down until a scene plays. Once it is over, you will have yourself a nifty new weapon. Head for the hallway under the stairs and use the sword to smash through the door there. Once outside, you will need to quickly jump from platform to platform to escape. Jump to the left as it starts and jump to the next platform. Jump to the right and continue across the next two platforms and then make a long jump to the ledge across from you. Once you grab it, a scene will play and the chapter will end.
Bolivia – Through the Looking Glass
After the scene plays when you enter, a gang of enemies will rush you. Either start swiping at them all, or jump on one of the guns around the room and start mowing them down. Once all the enemies are dead in here, a scene will play with Jason and Amanda. Once Amanda does her little speech, you’ll get to finally face off against the beast. Not a difficult battle at all, it can get a little frustrating since you need to drop the beast a few times to get in the good hits. As the beast flies around the room, keep swiping the sword, shooting the blasts at it. As you hit it more and more, its life bar will drop and eventually it will drop to nothing and the beast will crash down.
Run over to it and you will see Amanda standing in front of it. Give her a sot with the Triangle button and she will turn to the beast again and regenerate her health. She will be off and flying again and you will need to keep repeating the same tactics over and over each time. As she gets up each time, she will have less and less health until you give her one final stab. As she drops, the ending scene will play and you will finally find out what happened at the beginning of the game. As Lara sets off to go continue on her journey, seems we’ll have to wait for the next game to join in. Congratulations!
