I’ve long been a Final Fantasy fan since the days of the PS2, but for the most part I’m a PC gamer and it came as unwanted news to hear that the new Final Fantasy XV was to be a console only game with no development scheduled for non-console platforms at the moment.
Square Enix however have mentioned that they are aware that there is a big out cry from the gaming community to have a PC version of the game developed and they have in fact apologised that they were unable to simultaneously develop the PC and console version of the game as they were too focused on trying to optimize the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game to give an enhanced experience.
The good news however is that they have announced that it is more than possible that they may bring the new FFXV game to PC stating that they will definitely take a good hard look at PC and what would need to be done to release it, although they are of course not setting any expectations and rightly so.
It does however seem like a likely prospect, and the community seem to be effecting Square Enix’s stance on a PC version, so make sure you keep writing articles, tweeting, posting on forums and whatever else you can in order to make this happen!
Final Fantasy XV (15) is scheduled for release on PS4 and Xbox One on September 30th, 2015 and if you want to keep up with the latest videos and updated the best thing to do is follow their Twitter page @FFXVEN.
An official teaser trailer was also released a couple of days ago on YouTube, although it doesn’t give that much insight or clips of the actual game which is somewhat disappointing.
Personally I was much more excited about the Niflheim Base Battle Footage which was released prior to the teaser. As expected the graphics look fantastic and the game play looks very realistic, I for once really hope it comes to PC!
